Rude Awakening

I was the kid that played outside all day, every day, until the street lights came on. Being an athlete was my passion and I knew nothing could ever slow me down or stop me from being strong, fast and flexible. Life decided otherwise in my senior year when I was stopped dead in my tracks with a broken hand and torn ACL - In The Same Game!!! (Life is humbling and a bit cruel at times).


Recovery and the Human Body

It took four surgeries and many months of rehabilitation but I was finally able to play collegiate football and rugby, and was accepted into the Air Force. I realized without those Physical Therapists and their challenging routines or the coaches’ patience and encouragement in my progress, that strong, fast kid might have been lost forever. This journey evoked in me a fascination with the human body - its weaknesses, its resiliency, and its dominance over a healthy, functional life.


Pay it Back

I decided I wanted to share and have the same impact on others as my PT’s and coaches had on me. Becoming a personal trainer seemed the obvious answer. After nine years in the big box gyms, creating Beyond Conditioning was the next logical step. For here at Beyond Conditioning, we put our skills, knowledge and passion to personal use for you. As a certified Master Trainer, I have witnessed the plethora of physical (and mental and emotional) successes of my clients - such as - I lost weight! I can play tennis without hip pain! I put my suitcase in the overhead bin myself! I enjoyed mountain biking with my grandson! I can lift more weight than I ever imagined! I have more endurance to enjoy my life! These are the stories I live for.
